Authentic. Accessible.
Available to you.
At HeartSpace New Mexico, we believe trauma is the root cause of mental health issues and addiction.
"My addiction has alienated me from my family and friends."
"I am isolating and pushing people away who care about me."
"I am desperate to let go of things I know hurt me."
"I don't know what's wrong, but I can't stop crying."
"I am overwhelmed with life. I don't deserve to live."
"People, places and things. I'm scared of them all."
We get it. And we get you.
We often hear the word trauma in relation to acts of violence and natural disasters. But there are other causes too – highly significant personal experiences that have overwhelmed your ability to cope, even if it might not have seemed that way at the time.
Trauma is an injury to body, mind, spirit, and emotions. That injury deserves treatment. And you deserve to heal.
We are here to connect, understand, and guide your healing–whatever your background, race, ethnicity, gender, or circumstance. Our team’s diversity reflects the diversity of the community we serve. Meet your healing team.
We treat people.
We first seek to understand who you are. Then we connect you with a practitioner you can relate to and who understands you. They will provide individualized care, turning to other members of our team when their healing practices will assist you on your journey toward a life of freedom and joy.
We are an epicenter for your care.
Our comprehensive range of services includes: medication management; interventions; individual, couples and family therapy; group therapy; intensive outpatient programs. All utilizing a variety of healing techniques including EMDR, art and sound therapy, somatic experiencing, and peer support.
Our practice is designed to welcome you under one roof, with professionals of many disciplines available to you as needed.
Throughout your healing journey, your primary HeartSpace practitioner will work with our team to determine which of our many treatment modalities–healing techniques and practices–will have the greatest impact.
HeartSpace New Mexico was founded by a dedicated team of diverse behavioral health professionals who work as a team to deliver collaborative services where mind, body, spirit, and emotions can recover, build resilience, and thrive.
Healing your mind. Through practices such as Sound Therapy and Mindfulness, we guide you through an exploration of your inner thoughts and beliefs, gaining clarity and insight into your mental landscape.
Healing your body. Through practices such as Somatic Experiencing and trauma-informed yoga, we help your body to release the somatic–or bodily–memory of your trauma.
Healing your spirit. Through spiritual mentoring and ancient wisdom practices, we help you reconnect with your divine essence by exploring your individual belief system or faith in a higher power.
Healing your emotions. Through practices such as Art Therapy and EMDR, we support you in becoming “unstuck” emotionally, holding a space for your vulnerability, self-expression, and insight.
